Step 1: Prepare yourself.
Even before a tornado is announced, you should prepare yourself in the future, that is if the event of a tornado occurs often in your region. So before anything, you can do more preparations. Such as acquiring supplies, such as food and water, and place it in a shelter nearby. This is so that you can have supplies while waiting for the tornado to go away or to die out. It is also advised to wear a bike or football helmet, since most deaths by tornados are caused by severe head injuries.

Step 2: Oh there you are!
Know if the tornado is near your area or coming towards your location. Tornadoes occur most often in the early evening, but can happen any time. If you are wondering how you would know if one is in your area, you can either listen to the radio or television. Meteorologists can make predictions to when a tornado is coming by, and give off a warning on the radio or television. In any case, do not panic! Just run and scream to the nearest shelter. As for the types of shelter for protection, it all depends on your location.
Step 3: Location, Location, Location.
To survive a tornado, you must first find shelter over everything else; for example, an underground bunker, safe house or perhaps a ditch if you are outside.. If you are near a building area, and not close to your home, some business corporations or schools may offer protection.
Let’s say you are in a household, head to the lowest floor, usually the basement. After that, cover yourself with a mattress, or something light and cushiony. Don’t go near windows or sharp objects that could hurt someone. Then, you should hide under a table to protect yourself from propelled objects.
If you are in an apartment or bungalow, there are different places one could seek safety. In that case, hide somewhere with a small room; such as a closet or bathroom. Bathrooms are the best options in this case, because they have pipes all around them behind the walls, which make them sturdy and quite safe in case anything attempts to harm you.  In general, you should go as close to the ground as possible; this is because tornadoes aim for very tall objects.
Step 4: What to do… What to do…
If you are not at home, and do not have any supplies or a prepared shelter of yours nearby, don’t go all dramatic. Nor make a scene while yelling "This is the end!"... There are other options! For instance, if you are in a car, don’t try to outrun a tornado because tornadoes usually travel at very high speeds of a minimum 30 MPH. Instead, park the automobile and seek shelter anywhere nearby immediately. Worst case scenario, find a ditch. Most people think that hiding in an underpass or under a bridge is a good option, but on the contrary it is even more dangerous. Also, most tornado injuries and deaths are caused by flying debris. If you are The God of Luck, then there might be a cabin or a small building nearby to hide in.  
If you are in a park or in a nature area, it is suggested that you stay far away from trees and cars. These objects can be torn out of the ground by the tornado, and can be propelled to the people nearby.
In any of these situations, it is suggested to crouch, and cover your head with your arms for protection. Also, bring a radio with you for announcements of the whereabouts of the tornado so you know when to come out.
Step 5: Don't play "Peek-a-boo".
This step is quite simple. Remain in the shelter; do not come out until it is announced on the radio that it is over or until the police find you, you never know when the tornado might find your hiding spot and surprise you.
Step 6: Congratulations!

Congratulations! If you have reached this step, then you are alive and ready to come out. On that note, come out with caution. After a tornado has passed, there may be hazards in the area. This can be such as floods, broken wires, collapsed buildings, and blocked roads… Avoid using matches or passing near fallen power lines. Do not enter damaged buildings; they have a chance to collapse at any moment and cause serious damage. All and all, if a tornado comes nearby… Good luck!

Dogs are often known as a man’s best friend. Humans tend to judge others for whatever the reason. One of the main qualities found in a dog is loyalty. Dogs are very loyal and they will go above and beyond to protect their owner whether they are small or big. They accept their owner for who they are. It doesn't matter if you have a disability, if you’re blind, homely, old, young, etc. If you take care of your puppy and give it the love that it deserves, you will develop a strong friendship and have a life companion.

  1. Choose the right type of puppy by educating yourself on different dog breeds (know exactly what to do while you are choosing).
    1. What size dog are you interested in?
    2. How energetic do you want your new dog to be?
    3. How much time can you devote to exercising your dog daily?
    4. How often will you be able to play with your dog?
    5. How affectionate would you like your dog to be?
    6. Do you have other pets?
    7. How trainable would you like your dog to be?
    8. How protective do you want your new dog to be?
    9. How much maintenance and grooming are you able to provide for your dog?
    10. What kind of temperature tolerance does your new dog need to have?
  2. Choose a trustworthy breeder, shelter, pet store, etc… to pick your desired puppy.
  3. Make sure that your home fits the dog's personality.

  2. A big, loud dog in a small house could drive everyone crazy.
  3. Do you have a backyard? Puppies have lots of energy, and they need space to exercise. Having a backyard also allows you to train your puppy to urinate outside.

  1. Do you have time to care for your puppy? A new puppy needs lots of care and training for the first few months of it's life. It will always need at least one good walk every day.
  2. Do you have a stable financial status? Know that keeping a dog is not cheap, equipment, food and vets fees can cost a lot.
  1. Prepare a dog-sitter and inform yourself on veterinary services.
  1. Is there someone who could help take care of your dog? You can't always take your pet on vacation with you, so you might need a friend or neighbor to look after it while you are away. Puppies like company, so it's good for them when there is nobody around. If not, consider getting puppies from the same litter, so they can keep each other company.
In short, puppies are a lot of work but well worth it! It’s important to know the basics of living with a dog in order to give it a good happy life and family.

How to Travel the World Without Breaking the Bank
With prices skyrocketing in each and every market, is it still possible to find a bargain these days? Sometimes it may seem unlikely, but it’s always possible to save your money, even when your goal is to travel across the world. In fact, you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s possible to do so at a very low cost.
Now, the first thing to consider is the initial expenses of your travels. Depending on your vacation of choice, the flights and airlines that you choose must be put into consideration. Direct flights, transfers, airport food, business class, coach, economy seating, how many people you’re travelling with, these are all important factors when it comes to prices; not to mention your destination. Once you’re at your destination, you can really start to economize your funds. Small country hopping flights and ferries for example can cost as little as 10 - 50$. Moreover, with the internet being an excellent resource there are many destinations in the world where you can stay lodged at no cost. Websites like www.couchsurfing.org show you places where you can stay overnight, or for a couple of nights, in someone’s home or on someone’s couch without having to spend a dime. Furthermore, services like homeexchange.com can permit you to stay at someone’s house while you stay at theirs for the same amount of time (although this does involve limiting yourself to one location). Hostels are also a good choice; these are more economic than hotels and are rooms that are often shared with other travellers. Although, if you’d prefer to stay in a place all to yourself, It’s more economic to stay in apartments or lofts. If you plan to stay for over a week this could put your lodging expenses at only 25 $ a day.
To continue, eating out anywhere will boost your daily expenses. It is always recommended to eat in when possible, making apartments with kitchens even better options. Furthermore, shopping at local markets will save you a lot of money and let you experience food from different cultures. If travelling in a group, it’s always possible to split expenses as well. Finally, when using local transportation it’s always best to avoid taxis when possible and to use most of the modern world’s high speed railway systems. If the tickets are booked in advance you can grab tickets for as little at 15 $. To summarize, without taking into account the flight expenses, you can travel for as little as 50 - 100$ a day. How to make a healthy easy meal.

Eating the same meal for lunch at work or at school gets tedious and boring. It has been proven that variety in what you eat makes you healthier. That's why it is why preparing a good meal that is different that what you usually eat is good. This how to article will show you how to cook a delicious, healthy lunch a salad. This salad is composed of couscous, your choice of lettuce (like romaine or spinach), chicken or beef, nuts, apple, cheese and dressing.

The first thing to is to get the food that needs to be pre made ready so the couscous, the dressing, the apples and the meat. To begin with, rub the chicken or beef with salt and pepper and flour(if you want to season it or marinate differently it it’s up to you) and cook it. Put the stove on medium and cook both for approximately 10 minutes. Afterward let it cool down in the refrigerator and start to boil six cups of water for the couscous. When the water is boiled put the couscous in the boiled water for five minutes. Once cooked let the couscous rest in the refrigerator so that it becomes cold. If the meat or couscous is warm when you put it in the salad, the salad will become soggy and unappealing. The draising could be a simple caesar but you can choose any other salad dressing. The last thing is to do is cut and peel half to a full apple to put into the salad. ( it adds good texture.)

Secondly, its time to make the salad. Start by putting the lettuce into the container you’ll bring to work, afterward add the cooled couscous to the salad. After put the meat in the salad along with the seeds. The cut and peeled apple, the cheese (preferable feta) and the dressing should be put in a separate container since the moisture will make the salad soggy. when you are ready to eat put all the ingredients together and dig in!

The next time you feel in need in a change of food and want something good but still healthy try this salad. if more people changed their diets to something more healthy like this there would probably by less people obese or overweight right now.

How to do the perfect makeup look:

  1. A perfect makeup look starts with concealing the red spots and the under eye circles. To do so it is recommended to use  a concealer that is more liquid and that is coloured adapting to the skin tone.
  2. The bronzing and highlighting is optional but really make the face pop! It may sound very tricky but are actually very easy to do. For the bronzer, powder work well but cream bronzers are even better as they are very blendable. The same goes for the highlighting part. The cream colours might be hard to find but a concealer shade twice as dark and twice as lighter than the colour of the skin tone. The highlight goes on top of the cheek bones, right under the eyebrow, on top of the nose bridge and on the cupids bow. The bronzer goes on top of the forehead, under the cheekbone and under the chin, making a motion like the number 3.
  3. The next step is foundation. For this part there is a very wide variety of products a person can use. For a very light coverage a tinted moisturizer can do the trick. The user who would prefer a medium coverage can use a BB (Blemish Balm),CC (colour correcting) or even a DD(Daily Defence) cream. For a full coverage a foundation would be the best option.
  4. Filling in the browns can make a person look very symmetric. Using brow powder works very well but just an eyeshadow (using the colour of the hair) with a brow brush can do the trick.
  5. Following that is the eye shadow. To make sure the colour lasts a long time the best option is to use an eye primer. The look starts with a light eye shadow at the beginning of the eye. Following that is a shadow that is just a little darker for a base. This colour only goes toward the end of the eye. for a smoky eye look a very dark eye shadow goes on the end of the eye lid. The trick for the look is to blend the eye shadows with a very fluffy brush.
  6. Then the lashes come next. An eyelash curler works for the first step then adding mascara and finishing all up with eye liner.
  7. To finish the look blush on the cheek bones will add a pop of colour. Pressed powder will lock in the whole entire beautiful look!
  8. To have nice healthy, long eyebrows and eyelashes, you can always castor oil, coconut oil or just plain old vaseline to help them grow.
  9. Use an old mascara brush and dip it in the oil choice. With the brush, scatter some the oil on your eyebrows. Upwards, right, downwards and left. Repeat this cycle a few times to massage your eyebrows. For your eyelashes, apply the oil just like you would apply mascara.
  10. Another trick to grow your eyelashes is to spend a lot time in the ocean. The amount of sun absorbed and the contact of the salty water on your eyelashes concentrates the growing of them.
  11. Coconut oil is also practical for facial wash. Mix it with water and apply to your face at night. Wake up to a freshly new you!

How to survive life on a daily basis

 
Most people in the 21st century die as a result of old age or diseases. However, another leading cause of death are accidents on a daily basis. Wearing deodorant, walking, mowing the lawn and laughing seem like innocent activities that could never be harmful but are they really safe gestures?


Step 1. Don’t kill yourself in deodorant! In 1998, 16 year old Jonathan Capewell died after inhaling 10 times the lethal dosage of propane and butane from deodorant, which led to his untimely death. Capewell would cover his entire body in deodorant at least twice a day because he was obsessed with smelling and being fresh. The fumes inhaled lead him to have a heart attack. Many deaths have been caused by deodorant such as 12 year old Daniel Hurley and 14 year old Caitlyn Allen within the last 6 years.

Step 2. Don’t jaywalk!  Many children have been killed by crossing the street at the wrong place. In 2011, a mom and her four children were crossing the street or as we can call it jaywalking when the unthinkable happened, her four year old son got hit by a car. she was convicted with: second-degree homicide by a vehicle, crossing roadway elsewhere than a crosswalk and reckless conduct.


Step 3. This is no laughing matter! In 1975, Alex Mitchell, a 50 year old english man, laughed for 25 minutes straight while watching the TV sitcom, the Goodies. He reportedly didn't get enough oxygen to his heart, it gave out and he died. Therefore laughing a little a day can help you live longer but laughing for an unconventional amount of time can lead to possible death.


Step 4. Left or right? Over 2,500 people around the world are killed each year from using products which are meant for people who are right-handed. Out of all the products, the right-handed saw causes the most fatalities. This is why it's important to use proper product that are sure to compliment if your right or left handed.


Step 5. Don’t fall out of bed! Around 450 people have died  annually because they fell out of their beds while sleeping. Falling out of bed accounts for 1.8 million emergency room visits and over 400 thousand hospital admissions each year. The very young and the very old are most at risk, and with decreased stability as we age, people over the age of 65 tend have the worst falls. In other words, sleeping on the edge of your bed or moving around at night is extremely dangerous and could lead  to disasters.

Step 6. Don’t mow your lawn! Many young children have lost their lives because they tried to help out and mow the lawn. A 10-year-old in Benson, Vermont died when the lawn mower he was using rolled down an embankment and he got trapped underneath.  Don’t leave yours kids alone with a lawn mower, it can cause serious injuries.

How to Read English

Analphabetism rates are on the rise. In Canada, there’s about 17% of the population that has weak reading skills. There are different levels to judge reading competency. Approximately 1 out of 2 Quebecers aged 16-65 can’t comprehend what they are reading, thus ranging from level 1 and 2 (very weak reading comprehension). This can translate into someone not understanding how many Claritins to take after examining the medical instructions on the package. This “How to” essay will show you how to improve your reading skills so you can be flipping pages as fast as a white girl ordering Starbucks.

Step 1:
Learn the alphabet… all of it. It goes like this; A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, LMNO, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.

Step 2:
Learn the sound of every letter. For example, A sounds like eh and F sounds like gh.

Step 3:
Learn syllables. For example, the letters D and O makes the sound dewh.

Step 4:
Combine syllables to create words. For example, the word knife can be broken down into neye-gh.

Step 5:
Placing multiple words together in a certain order will give you sentences. Ex: re-read step 5.

Step 6:
Now that you understand the basics of the english language, it is highly suggested you start practicing your new advanced reading skills. In order to do so, you may re-read this essay multiple times.

It is now time to put your skills to the test.

How to excel in a sport!!

Excelling in a sport is not only just playing around, it takes a lot of time, effort and practice.  
Any kind of sports requires physical strength  but also mental ability to succeed.

First things first, you need to choose a sport that you like, so you will be willing to put in the time and effort.

2.There is 2 kind of sports, individual or team, you will need to chose one of them. A team sport consists of depending not only on yourself but also your teammates to win. An individual sport is more on how you work by yourself to win.

3.After you choose the sport you are most interested in, try to learn how it is played. Listen to coaches or any other people who are trying to help you, they have the experience. Allow others to give you advice, tips, tricks, and constructive criticisms.  Don't be shy to ask questions.

4.Even before you get to the competition stage in a sport, the act of training itself requires mental toughness. There may be times when you don’t feel like training and you’ll need the tenacity and toughness to carry on. At other times, you might be dealing with muscle soreness or a mild and irritating injury that doesn’t stop you from playing but does distract you. In this case, you have to mentally push through the discomfort and complete your training session. During training you might have doubts about your physical abilities. Watching others excel in physical activities that you have not yet mastered can be yet another distraction. Mental toughness in all of these scenarios entails staying focused on your own progress, ignoring distractions and pushing through all challenging moments.
5.Have fun while training, playing and enduring. Don't get down on yourself if you are not able to grasp a concept or trick. You will eventually get it, but having fun with the sport is all that matters, because practice makes perfect.

6. With thats said, you will need to balance out work/school and practices/games.Creating a schedule will help you organize your activities. Do not quit on your team, they are counting on you along the whole season

How to ask someone out

Rejection is always one of our biggest fears when we start to like someone. However, we must try to overcome that fear to be able to get what we desire. Taking a leap of faith and trusting our instincts is the best we can do when it comes to those situations.  One of the biggest steps in asking someone out is mustering up the courage you have to make that big step forward.


Part 1
1. Figure out if the person you like is already in a relationship. If yes, abort mission.


2. Mentally prepare yourself for the possibility of rejection. Don't go into it being too confident or you might blow it.


3.  Find out what the person you like is interested in and to see if you like the same things.


4. Figure out how you’re gonna ask the person out. Ex: Text, note, Facebook, through a friend, over the phone, in person.


Part 2
5.  Strike up a conversation.
-Send a friendly text
-Approach the person
Make sure you smile and make eye contact, to show that you’re interested in the person.


6.  Talk about the things that you know he/she likes to keep their attention or see if they are interested in you.


7. Once you feel comfortable enough start talking about relationships to make sure that he/she actually wants to be in a relationship at that moment.


8. If they are not in a relationship, go ahead and ease your way into your question.


Part 3
9.  Did everything go as planned?
If yes: Congratulations! You have a new boyfriend/girlfriend! And i hope that everything works out well for you too crazy kids!
If no: Let them know there are no hard feelings. And that you still want to keep the existing friendship you had with the person before, without making things awkward.

Part 4 Important step- How to let them down easy (rejection)


If you are the one being asked out remember to let the person down easily. You don’t want to come off as being rude or mean while rejecting a person. Being nice is very important when it comes to this step. Let them know that you still want to be friends with them but you’re not interested in them that way.
Possible excuses while rejecting someone:
"My mom just texted me, i have to go home."
"It’s not you, it’s me."
*doesn't answer your texts*
"I don't want to talk to you anymore"
"No thank you"
"Oh"
"You're a really cool guy but I don't think of you that way"
"We can be friends?"


If you receive a comment like these ones, she/he is not for you.
How to cram for an exam

During the time of exams, students have a lot  of stress on them because they have many classes and for each class they must learn a great matter of material. Having stress could lead to failing because you have to much to think about. That is why you must learn how to prepare and cram for an exam in order to get good grades.


It is also important to be very organized. Organize your time by planning out each activity to make sure you keep enough time to study correctly. Make sure to compare notes with a friend to make sure that you have all of your papers and are not missing any important details. As well it is a good idea to rewrite your notes properly and in order to make sure you are not look through improper notes that you cannot understand because in class you were writing to fast. Use folders in order to organise different subjects in a same binder so that you do not need to carry multiple binders with you at all times.

 When you are cramming for an exam you should never study late the night before your test before sleep is important factor to success. If you have a good night sleep the night before the test you will feel refreshed and  less stressed for you exam.a Teen usually needs around 9 ½  hours of sleep to feel fully refreshed for the next day.


To study efficiently it is important to study in a quiet place where you can focus 100%. The quieter it is the more you can fully concentrate and this makes your studying more efficient. Studying while listening to music or having your phone beside you and checking all your social medias and texting your friends is not the best way to study because it is a distraction and this cause you to think about other thing instead of what is on your exam.


Another way to study is NEVER leave your studying to the last minute because you will be so stressed for your exams that you will just end up panicking. You won't  know all the material learned in class. This is not the most efficient way to study.

To conclude, cramming for exams is really hard but if you organize your notes as well as your time and make sure to get enough sleep you will succeed your exams and get good grades.
How to do better on multiple choice

Most people wish to  do better on test by being sure they have the right answer, but with teachers making sure that we don't talk, it's almost impossible, or is it? This how to explains a simple and guaranteed way to get the right answer without getting caught.
Step 1: Get a group of people that you trust and know have studied for the test more than you.

Step 2: Establish a code with them so that you don't need to talk to each other during the test.
Step 3: Choose your preferred method.
Method 1: The first method involves some sort of morse code. The way it works is pretty straightforward. Just tap a pencil slowly and when it stops, the number of times the pencil has hit the table determines the question number. Then, hit once if the answer is A, twice for B and so on.
Method 2: The second method is less noisy, but is more visible to the teacher. Establish symbols for each letter such as scratching your nose for A, scratching your hair for B and so on. For the question number, just play along as if you're cracking your fingers and for every finger that you “crack”, you add to the question number, for example, someone cracks their fingers 12 times and scratch their head, they're saying that the answer to  question 12 is B

With these easy methods, it is easy to succeed unless the group of people that were picked did not study. If so, restart and choose a new group.
