Eating the same meal for lunch at work or at school gets tedious and boring. It has been proven that variety in what you eat makes you healthier. This salad is composed of couscous, your choice of lettuce (like romaine or spinach), chicken or beef, nuts, apple, cheese and dressing.
The first thing to is to get the food that needs to be pre made ready so the couscous, the dressing, the apples and the meat. When the water is boiled put the couscous in the boiled water for five minutes. Once cooked let the couscous rest in the refrigerator so that it becomes cold. If the meat or couscous is warm when you put it in the salad, the salad will become soggy and unappealing. The draising could be a simple caesar but you can choose any other salad dressing. The last thing is to do is cut and peel half to a full apple to put into the salad. ( it adds good texture.)
