Macbeth Act II-Natural and Unnatural

Duncan died of unnatural causes. (Macbeth murdered him). This disrupted the natural order of things.

Old Man: "'Tis unnatural, Even like the deed that's done. On Tuesday last A falcon, tow'ring in her pride of place, Was by a mousing owl hawked at and killed." p.37, L 10-13
-It is unnatural for an owl to kill a falcon. It is not the natural order of the food chain.

Lennox: " New hatched to th' woeful time: the obscure bird Clamored the livelong night. Some say, the earth Was feverous and did shake." p.33, L 61-63
-Comparison between the chaos in the political world and the chaos in nature.
